Prior to forming KMA, Ken was Vice President of Sales at Computer Currents magazine for ten years, where he developed successful sales and marketing programs for the publication and its advertisers. He has provided marketing and promotional services for Microsoft, Activision, Quarterdeck Office Systems, IBM, AMD, PolyGram Records, and Epitaph Records, arranging strategic alliances with major corporations, and developing competitive strategies and collateral materials. In addition, he has produced dozens of fundraising events involving performing artists such as Steve Miller, Yanni, John Lee Hooker, and Robert Cray.

In April 1995, Ken produced the first major online fundraising auction - the ArtRock Auction - for the Save the Earth Foundation.

In January 1994, Ken founded Ken Margolis Associates (KMA), specializing in advertising sales, marketing consulting, and high-tech public relations. Soon after his initial success, Ken focused the company's business on selling online advertising, providing Internet-related consulting services, and helping companies design and implement Internet promotions. As one of the oldest companies in this field, KMA remains a leader in the industry.
